I've been driving a towtruck since 1977 and have been in business since 1981. Basically for the last 34 years, I've been on call 24/7. And I wouldn't trade it for any other career. Of course, I live in a rural part of Nevada, so calls can be far and few between. I'll never get rich and some months have difficulty paying the bills. I tow for 3 motor clubs: CCMC, Allstate, and Road America. I used to tow for AAA (18 years worth), but they "dumped" me which turned out to be a blessing. It opened my eyes, allowing me to charge a proper rate for my services rather than giving it away. I'm not much of a talker, but a good listener. So for the past 4 years, I've been "listening", visiting the sight oftern without logging in or sharing comments. I'm still going to "listen" but will try to log in so that others know I'm around.
